Do I still need my fax machine?

The only situation that a traditional paper fax is required is when you wish to send documents that are in paper format already.  For example, documents requiring signatures may need to be sent by traditional fax.  Note that you do not need to purchase ink or paper for your old fax machine as you will only be using it to send faxes. An alternative to a fax machine in this situation would be to use a combination of a scanner and fax modem on your computer, commonly known as 'Scan and Fax'.
